Big Ten Road Wins Hard To Come By

Ohio State found things challenging in Champaign this afternoon.

There have been eight Big Ten games in the 2012-13 basketball season and the home team has won six of them, including:

Purdue beating No. 11 Illinois 68-61 in West Lafayette, followed by the Illini beating No. 8 Ohio State 74-55 in Champaign (the Buckeyes had beaten Nebraska by 36 in their opener in Columbus).

Purdue then lost at No. 18 Michigan State 84-61 to the same Spartans that had lost by 13 to No. 9 Minnesota in Minneapolis.

And so on.

Only No. 5 Indiana (at Iowa) and No. 2 Michigan (at Northwestern) have won on the road in the first eight games.

So … how many road wins total will there be in the Big Ten this year. By our math (which could be wrong), there are 108 Big Ten games this year (nine home and road games for 12 teams for 108 games total, right?).

We’ll set the over under at 32.5. Get your bets in.
