Blotter: 65 Big Ten Arrests; Iowa New Leader

August 1, 2012

B1G Football, IA, Ill, PUR

Running back De’Andre Johnson has led the Hawkeyes to the top of the Big Ten arrest heap.

Big news, Big Ten fans! Since our post last month, we have a new leader in the number of arrests of student-athletes over the last two years!

Iowa jumped from fourth to first in just two weeks thanks to running back De’Andre Johnson’s one-man crime wave (note: Johnson was dismissed from the team today), Hawkeye baller Bethany Doolittle’s boozing and running Marcus Binns’ petty larceny.

(Seriously, Marcus, switching price tags on shirts at Dillard’s?!? They’ll steer clear of you in the joint for that one.)

That’s 65 arrests in all since August 2010, courtesy of Arrest Nation.

Uh, lots of arrests missing, of course. Just for Michigan football, where are Frank Clark? Or do felonies not count? How about Fitz Toussaint? Please update your list.
