Ohio State President had this to say about Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema’s criticism of Urban Meyer’s recruiting practices:
Gee called new coach Urban Meyer the “finest in the country,” “the greatest affirmation of the quality of this institution” and “the best recruiter in America.”
Despite Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema criticizing Meyer’s recruiting methods, Gee stands behind him.
“We hired the best coach and we went out and got the best kids so get a life,” Gee said of Bielema’s criticisms.
This may very well make Bielema feel poignant again.

I’ve been saying that Bielema needs to ‘get a life’ for years. But to be fair, I say that about anybody with a Hawkeye logo tatooed on their body.

Gee needs to get some sensitivity to the Polish Army!

Bielema can’t just throw that out there and then back off. Makes him look weak and petty.
If you got something, you better be committed to following through. Otherwise, just hush.

Uh why is the President of OSU concerning himself with this anyway? What a joke. That guy is an overpaid, flip-flopping, phony who’s made a nice living collecting the highest salary among all college presidents over the past few years. Next stop is a small liberal arts college where he’ll again find the virtues of small-time athletics and probably lecture places like Ohio State and Wisconsin on the ills of big time college athletics.

I would guess:
1. The Lantern asked him about it.
2. A coach from a rival school accused his university of cheating.

3. Was OSU cheating?
4. It’s happend there before, I’ve heard. And under Gee’s watch.

As I said above:
“Bielema can’t just throw that out there and then back off. Makes him look weak and petty. If you got something, you better be committed to following through. Otherwise, just hush.”
But he and Alvarez backed off.
