This was supposed to be the Gunner Kiel Class for second-year coach Kevin Wilson and the Indiana Hoosiers.
That, of course, didn’t happen. Kiel is head to
LSU Notre Dame.
So what does Indiana have? A very full class that includes one four-star recruit and 11 three-star recruits, according to ESPN. That’s a start when you’re coming off of a decade-plus of futility.
Commits: 24 (click on this number to see which have signed throughout the day!)
Scout.com ranking: No. 50 (subject to change)
Four stars: Nate Sudfeld, Modesto, Calif., No. 14 quarterback.
Three stars: Jordan Wallace, Indianapolis, No. 29 inside linebacker; Dan Feeney, Orland Park, Ill., No. 60 offensive guard; Nick Mangieri, Dunlap, Ill., No. 32 inside linebacker; Kevin Davis, Indianapolis, No. 117 wide receiver; Jacob Bailey, Indianapolis, No. 71 offensive guard; Ricky Jones, Sarasota, Fla., No. 133 wide receiver; Tevin Coleman, Oak Forest, Ill., No. 140 wide receiver; Wesley Rogers, Indianapolis, No. 17 center; Jason Spriggs, Elkhart, Ind., No. 135 offensive tackle; Shawn Heffern, Carmel, Ind., No. 160 defensive end; Adam Kranda, New Castle, Ind., No. 73 tight end.
Summary: Sudfeld, who committed just last week, made this class for Wilson, who also did very well recruiting in Indianapolis this year.
What they’re saying: “Head coach Kevin Wilson has a large class of 24 prospects going, including seven who enrolled early.”
