Season so far: 12-0, ranked No. 13 in the nation. Best start since the 1975-76 national championship team (and last perfect team in college basketball).
Good wins: No. 1 Kentucky. At North Carolina State. The Kentucky game was arguably the biggest for Indiana since the Hoosiers beat No. 1 Duke in the 2002 Sweet 16.
Bad losses: None.
Leaders: Scoring: Cody Zeller 15.3, Victor Oladipo 12.5; Rebounding: Zeller 7.4, Oladipo 5.3; Assists: Verdell Jones III 3.7, Hulls 3.6.
Best case scenario: Everyone gets healthy, the Hoosiers keep rolling and survive the early minefield of Michigan State, Ohio State and Michigan. They take care of business at home (8-1) and do what they need to do on the road (5-4) for a 13-5 Big Ten record and 26-5 overall headed into the postseason (they have a February game against North Carolina Central).
Worst case scenario: Will Sheehey and Verdell Jones III miss appreciable time, Indiana starts 0-3 in Big Ten play and the Hoosiers never fully recover for an 8-10 conference record and 21-10 overall. They would need a win or two in the Big Ten tournament to ensure a tourney bid.
