Jared Sullinger left Ohio State’s game against South Carolina in the first half with a foot injury, with the Buckeyes announcing he had a “contusion.”
In english, that’s a “bruise.”
Not everyone was buying it.
“No way Sully has just a bruised foot. I honestly don’t know what it is, but I’d be shocked if OSU isn’t downplaying his injuries. Not good,” former Buckeye Mark Titus Tweeted here and here. “Not saying Jared has something really serious going on, but trust me when I say OSU would tell media an amputated limb was just a sprain.”
At about the 10 minute mark, however, ESPN reported that Sullinger does not have a fracture. No word just yet on tears, strains, sprains, etc.
Looking ahead, it may be a good time for him to rest up. The Buckeyes have Lamar and Miami (Ohio) before opening Big Ten play at home against Northwestern on Dec. 28. They travel to Bloomington on New Year’s Eve to play Indiana.
